DIY Jewellery / Necklace Organiser

Hello Lovelies! Here's another quick tutorial and it's so easy you can do it in your sleep! Haha, okay, maybe not, but it is simple, cheap, completely customizable, and the end results are pretty cool.

What you're going to need:

Cork-board, size of your choice
Spray paint, which ever colour you like,
Gold / Silver paint
Paint brush
Scotch tape / painter's tape
Push pins
Something to protect your work surface

The first step is to tape along the borders of the cork-board like so:

Next step, place your board over something like a bin bag or, as I'm doing, a large piece of fabric, to protect your work surface (I'm working outside today because the weather is so lovely) and spray paint the board. Make sure you're in a well ventilated area to avoid breathing in any fumes from the spray paint.

Be sure to do a couple of coats, waiting for each one to dry before doing the next. Keep going until the spray paint is opaque and you can't see any of the original colour of the board.

Now take your gold or silver paint and your paint brush, then, carefully, begin painting the edges. It'll take a couple of coats but it's a surprisingly quick process. Once everything is dry I recommend using a protective spray and covering the whole thing before you start hanging things up on it. You don't have to if you don't want, but I did it just to be sure.

The next step is to take your push pins and start pinning where you want your necklaces to hang. It works well for bracelets too! As you can see from the picture bellow I created a simple enough pattern, with my necklaces overlapping slightly. I hung earrings on pins with matching necklaces and even hung up a few of my rings too! But it's completely up to you how you do it, you can use it exclusively for necklaces or bracelets, you can choose whatever colour combination you like too.
I wouldn't recommend doing this with any expensive or valuable pieces of jewellery, they should always be kept somewhere safe, but it works nicely with statement necklaces and rings.
This is the finished result:

Hope you've liked this quick tutorial, let me know what you think!
