DIY Hot Chocolate Candle

Hello Lovelies!
Today I've got another DIY for you: how to make your very own hot chocolate candle! It's a lot simpler than it looks, trust me.
What you'll need is:

A cup/ jar/ mug / glass depending on what you want to put the candle in
A candle wick
Wax flakes
A brown and black crayon, for the colour
A container to mix everything in
Glue
And something to scent the candle with, I used a Yankee tart

The first thing to do it glue the wick to the bottom of your glass. Once that's done, put it aside and let it dry.

Whilst the glue is drying take your wax and your scent and put them in your container. Melt them down in your microwave until it's all completely melted.

Once the wax is all melted and you've stirred in your chosen scent properly, take the brown crayon and peal the paper off. Then break the crayon into pieces and add as much as you need to get your desired colour. Now, because I wasn't quite happy with the intensity of the brown I broke off a tiny chunk of the black crayon and added it to the mix.

When you're happy with the colour the next step is to pour the wax into the glass. Here you have to be careful of two things: one, the wax is hot, so be careful not to spill it or get in on yourself as it will burn you. And second: don't let the wick sink into the wax. What I did to keep it in the centre was to take two pens, tie them together and rest them on the top of the glass. Then I pulled the top of the wick through the gap between the pens as shown in the picture above. Now just let the candle cool. You can put it in the fridge, but I just left mine out whilst I continued working on the next step.

What you need to do in order to make the whipped cream section of the candle is take your wax flakes and put them in the microwave for thirty seconds. Or until it looks something like the photo above.

Then just stir it together to make it look like the photo above. Once you've got this sort of consistency scoop it out of the bowl using a spoon and place it on top of the hot chocolate part of the candle. Make sure it's completely cooled first though, otherwise it could get messy or ruin the effect. Also remember to take the pens off from the wick, otherwise you'll have two pens just chilling in the middle of your candle!
Once you've got it looking the way you want and are happy, just add some decorations. I went with some chocolate sprinkles for a touch of authenticity and viola! You've got your very own hot chocolate candle!

I hope you've enjoyed this DIY, let me know what you think!
